In July 2006, Softway S.A. homologated one of its Foreign Trade solutions towards Oracle and Intel, by usin ABOVE (Accelerated Business Offerings with Value-added Enhancements) program, which has been recently released in Latin America through Oracle/Intel partnership. During the homologation, Softway solutions have been tested in Intel plataform, from an infrastructure with one server to a high availability environment based on Oracle RAC clustering technology. From this homolgation, Softway has been ensuring high availability in an cost-effective, open platform, based on Intel-architecture servers. Intel processor technology, combined with the development tools, applications, and Oracle Database, provides Softway customers with an IT environment with high scalability, availability and reliability that meet the most demanding business needs.

 

ORACLE e-Business SUITE: ADDITIONAL FOREIGN TRADE SOLUTION

 

Softway has the best solution to complement its e-Business Suite in the Foreign Trade area. They are management systems for Import, Export, Exchange Operations, as well as for Special Customs Regimes (RECOF, Blue Line, Drawback, Industrial Customs Warehouse, Bonded and Assured Warehouse, PEXPAM-Manaus); all of them integrated to Oracle ERP.
The communication between Softway solutions and Oracle e-Business Suite is optimized by the fact that they all use Oracle technology, which allows direct data transfer, with no need of generating intermediate files.
The communication engines meets Oracle standards in its partnership and integration program, which means that the entire e-Business Suite data collection is performed through CAI Notification Architecture and its views and triggers sets. For the information return, Softway solutions are written into Open Interface tables, assuring that the data will be handled as necessary in order to be completely inserted into ERP.
