Management System for World Bank Projects
According to PMI, International Development projects are average- to large-size public projects or programs in all the industries of a developing country that are sponsored by institutions such as: development mulitlateral banks, such as World Bank and regional development banks; agencies that are members of the United Nations; bilateral and multilateral public agencies; non-government organizations; developing country agencies.
The State Governments of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are managing their World Bank development projects using GP SYS Software.
For São Paulo Government, GP SYS helps plan the implementation of two projects:
1. Programa Estadual de Microbacias Hidrográficas do Estado de São Paulo, which benefits more than 90.000 rural producers in an area of 3.6 million hectares for six years.
2. GEF (Projeto de Recuperação de Matas Ciliares no Estado de São Paulo), which benefits about 1.500 rural producers in an area of 30.000 hectares for four years.
For Rio de Janeiro Government, GP SYS helps plan and implement GEF Project (Projeto de Gerenciamento Integrado de Agroecossistemas em Microbacias Hidrográficas do Norte-Noroeste Fluminense), which benefits about 4.000 rural producers, in an area of 100.000 hectares for five years.
GP SYS enables an effective tracking of physical and financial indicators, and makes the control and execution of development projects easier through three execution levels: management, regional, and local, which allows for viewing the indicators in each level, and in a consolidate manner.
