IN-OUT is a component module in the Softway solution suite responsible for the management of the integrations between the Softway Foreign Trade operational module solutions and external systems, such as, for example, the ERPs that exist in the market (SAP, ORACLE, JDE, MFG-Pro, IFS, BAAN, Datasul, Microsiga and other systems) or even legacy systems.
This intercommunication is indispensable, as Softway Solutions are part of the systemic control of the logistic and financial process of international trade. The Softway Import Solution is part of the “Procure to Pay” Process for items/services acquired from Suppliers from other countries and interacts with the purchase, inventory, fiscal, accounts payable and accounting modules of the corporate systems. Similarly the Softway Export Solution is part of the “Order to Cash” Process for items/services sold to Clients in other countries and interacts with the sales/dispatch, invoicing, receivables and accounting of the corporate systems.

MAIN FUNCTIONALITIES
Interface Structures
By using these functionalities, IN-OUT enables the register of the interface structures that will be used in the control and processing of the interfaces, and also define the communication system (via flat files, ODBC/JDBC, Oracle databank direct connection, etc).

Interface Tables with respective fields and formats
IN-OUT is also a powerful ETL tool that enables the receipt and dispatch of data from and to external systems, including the transformation of this data prior to the loading or extraction of the information.

Interface Register/Tasks
The interfaces/tasks to be processed are registered and parameterized in IN-OUT. It also enables the register of different machines for the execution of the interfaces/tasks, thus enabling a "load equilibration" of the processes, separating different processes and with distinct priorities in different machines.

Configuration of Interfaces/Tasks
Schedule
IN-OUT has its own Schedule mechanism that enables the scheduling of the frequency of the execution of the interfaces/tasks.

Scheduling variables of execution frequency
Control/Execution Log of Interfaces/Tasks
The user can accompany the interface/task executions through this functionality, and check the number of processed registers, the effectiveness of the interfaces, the average execution time of same, and also check and deal with eventual errors that may have occurred in the processing.

Alerts
This functionality enables the contact with registered users in IN-OUT who will be notified by e-mail when any processing errors occur in the interfaces/tasks, and the dispatch of interface execution statistics and other types of configurable notifications.

MAIN BENEFITS
• IN-OUT is an information validator, "protecting" the processing of incoherent, inconsistent or divergent data. When the ERP is not prepared to handle the obligatoriness and consistency of the foreign trade essential information, IN-OUT is a very important tool, as it controls the checking of transferred data;
• IN-OUT does not read the data directly from the ERP databank, that is to say, it does not install views directly accessing the ERP tables, and does not use the same infrastructure (Databank and Application Server), as this is not advisable and neither is it homologated by the ERP suppliers. Furthermore direct access to the ERP databank can cause ERP performance degradation;
• Consultations and Reports of Errors and Successes from the system users, reducing infrastructure/IT demand and speeding up the daily process;
• It has the structure to guarantee the total integrity of the data, which is not guaranteed when a solution directly accesses the ERP data through direct views of the databank;
• Interface performance increase. Once the information is migrated to IN-OUT it is no longer necessary to look for it in the ERP; This model guarantees ERP independence, where the Softway Solution behaves in reality as a “bolt-on”, complementing the ERP in the control of Foreign Trade operational control, however not interfering with the creation of objects that alter the ERP standard, which is a very important factor, principally in ERP global/regional instances;
• Own schedule without the need of other infrastructure resources;
• Control of disk space and system databank used by the logs, avoiding the need for monitoring by the infrastructure;
• An IN-OUT use license is not charged, as by acquiring at least one Softway Solution module, an IN-OUT use license is already granted.
