Mobility in Foreign Trade Solutions

As an answer to this market, and following its innovation policy, Softway has been investing on mobile computing segment, and has created its latest product, Mobile Sys – the solution that brings business anywhere. This tecnology changes the professional interaction manner, as it allows for monitoring and viewing processes, no matter where you are.
Basically, Mobile Sys idea is to use a mobile application server, in conjunction to applications installed in mobile phones or handhelds, so that Softway customers can remotely access Foreign Trade product functionalities, as we already have the following functionalities:
• In/Out Interface Control: Executing, monitoring, and scheduling interfaces.
• Importation Module: Import Declaration, Invoice, NF, Shipment, Receipt, Expenditure and Cost Searches, and Import Control Workflow (Ckeckpoints).
• Exportation Module: Invoice, Export Registration, DDE, Nota Fiscal, Shipment, and Expenditure Searches, and Export Control Workflow (Ckeckpoints).
• Drawback Module: Drawback Concession Act, Suspension, Exemption, Intermediate, and Vessel Searches, and others that point out balances and limits.
• Exchange Module: Control of received Payment Orders, Exchange Contracts for Import and Export operations.
It is also important to highlight that we can develop other applications and functionalities, according to our customer’s specific needs.
TECHNOLOGY
Softway has developed a technologic platform that includes a mobile application server software that is based on Java Standard Edition technology, and a client based on JME - Java Micro Edition, a reduced Java version that runs in mobile phones, Black Berry, and PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants). An intuitive and simple solution.
This server enables:
• Remote access to Softway applications;
• Mobility to our customers’ software;
• Customizations of software that can become mobile.
With this platform, Softway has made the development of independent mobile modules feasible and productive, allowing for the creation of mobile functionalities that can provide field workers with updated information, as well as enabling these professionals to take key actions for their corporate applications.

FUNCTIONAL FEATURES
• The solftware that is installed in the mobile phone is model-independent, as it is not developed for a specific model or manufacturer. Therefore, the user can choose the desired phone;
• To use Internet in order to communicate with the server, the software is carrier-independent, as all the carriers provide access to the network, using GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, etc;
• The data is encryptedly trasnferred, which means that if the connection is intercepted, the data being transferred is not identified, increasing the operation security;
• The environment is unique. Even when the user gains access to several applications, they are all in a single screen with visual and intuitive navegation;
• And even in only one environment, the security is complete. Each user is independent, since their permissions are individually indicated in order to ensure proper access to desired information;
