HOSTING SERVICE
Softway provides its clients with a hosting service (ASP – Application Service Provider) for its solution in an own Data Center that has the entire infrastructure needed for the security and performance that the clients need.
Softway Data Center has state-of-art equipment and high quality software, and provides a quality service that brings benefits to its partners, such as:
• Reduction in Softway system infrastructure such as servers, Oracle databases, and other applications;
• High availabilty for the services it offers, by providing the clients with a continuos access to the applications in a 24x7x365 basis;
• Reduction of the monthy costs with support and infrastructure services, such as, Oracle DBA hours, physical backups, and storage;
• Faster calling and support services due to the faster access to the client’s process and database;
• Expertise in planning and administering databases and solutions that only the solution provider can offer.
Softway Data Center is located in one of the main buildings of Campinas, and the backup Data Center is located in an environment that is separate from the production environment.
Main Softway Data Centers characteristics:
• The access to the Centers is restrict (biometry control) to employees that are authorized by Softway, with 24-hour inspection in the external areas
• No-breaks for power suply interruptions, being checked 24 hours a day
• Protection against long power supply failures through an own continous power supply generator
• Softway Data Centers has emergency DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan)
• Automatic fire extinguishing system with FM200 gas to protect the servers and information
• Daily backups for all the client’s information stored in midia outside the Data Centers facilities to reduce any risk for the client to lose information
If the client uses a direct connection to Software Data Center, via direct link or any other technology, a unique firewall structure is built in order to ensure that only the client can access the data, so that the services are reliable and totally integrated.
Softway is open to negotiate connection and security patterns in order to serve all the clients that usually have different models for this service type.
